Farewell message from CDR Aguayo

The time has come to welcome a new Commanding Officer to NMCB ELEVEN.  The last two years have flown by, and I am now concluding the best tour anybody could ask for in the Navy- leading the brave men and women of NMCB ELEVEN.  It has been a true honor and privilege for me, and I could not be any prouder of all the accomplishments of this truly exceptional command.  Their dedicated training and commitment to one another resulted in an extremely successful deployment to Afghanistan and preparation for the upcoming deployment to EUCOM/AFRICOM/PACOM/CENTCOM.  Their selfless dedication to service were recognized time and time again by awards such at the Battle “E”, Peltier, Meritorious Unit Commendation and winners of the Stethem and Moreell awards.  Seabees of NMCB ELEVEN consistently gave their best and for that I am truly grateful.

I also wish to thank all the families and friends of NMCB ELEVEN.  Your support and sacrifice these last two years were no doubt essential to our success.  Simply put, we could not have accomplished what we did without you.  You are deeply woven into the overall readiness of our command, and you deserve not only our gratitude, but the gratitude of an entire nation for your service to our country.  It has been such a pleasure getting to know you these last few years and I wish all of you continued success.

Welcome aboard to your new Commanding Officer, CDR Steve Stasick and his wife Arlin.   NMCB ELEVEN, you are in great hands and will no doubt continue to make us proud!
