Its Time To Take Responsibility

The contemporary mindset tends to blame the way we act on society, our spouse, friends, parents, God, the devil, or anyone else beside ourselves.  Instead we fail to realize and take ownership that the choices you and I make have real life consequences.  The fact is, we never have to give into temptation; no one makes us sin.  “Each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust, or desires.” (James 1:14 NASB)

The apostle Paul made the following statement concerning the results of our actions, “You are tempted in the same way all other human beings are. God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted any more than you can take. But when you are tempted, God will give you a way out so that you can stand up under it.” (1 Corith 10:13 NIV) God does not guarantee you that he will take you away from the mess you have placed yourself in, but He will be there guiding you through the learning process and give you the strength you need to endure your present situation.   It’s time to take responsibility for our actions and trust that God will direct us through our mistakes.
