Pray for Your Leaders

The great leaders of ours and past generations did not wake up one day and become great leaders. They all at one time in their lives made mistakes. Yet instead of giving up, they rose from the ashes of their failures and became great men and women. This week take some time to study a leader that you admire.  Don’t just focus on what they did great.  Examine their failures. Figure out what makes them so effective, and begin to develop your own personal style from that person.

Finally, I just want to add that at one time in my career I was an enlisted Sailor. I did not like every naval leader I came across.  However, instead of griping about them as a leader, I prayed for them.  I would encourage you to do the same.  You will be amazed at the results.

The Scriptures instruct us to respect authority and pray for our leaders.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 states, “Pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances.”
