Mid-Week Manna

Everyone prays.  You may scoff at this idea, but I can prove it to you.  Everyone has experienced the moment when you look in your rearview mirror only to see flashing red and blue lights.  And in this moment, even the staunch non-believer will whisper something like, sweet Jesus….No!

In all seriousness, prayer is a natural reaction when life falls apart. This is what we do as humans.  When we find ourselves at rock bottom we naturally cry out with hope that someone is listening.  And we hope that whoever is listening is powerful enough to help.

You and I desperately strive for attention, companionship, and most of all communication. The fact of the matter is if you do not communicate with your spouse or loved one, your relationship will fall apart.  This is the same with our relationship with the Lord.  So, why don’t we pray?  Could it be that we are lazy? Could it be that we have better things to do with our time? Maybe, because we can’t physically see Him, we feel it just weird to talk with Him.  Meditate on the following Scripture this week:

“Let is then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)

Lucky 11 God is real, and He is big enough to handle all of your troubles.

May God richly bless you this week, as you seek Him out in Prayer!
